Neckar Valley Cycle Route: Rottweil to Heidelberg in 7 days

Across Baden-Württemberg, always along the river: from the Hohenstaufen town of Rottweil via Horb and Rottenburg to Tübingen with Hohentübingen Castle, through Nürtingen and Esslingen past Stuttgart to Ludwigsburg, on via Besigheim and Bad Wimpfen into the castle country of the lower Neckar and finally via Hirschhorn and Neckargemünd to Heidelberg. 283 kilometres over seven days, almost level – 450 metres of descent across the whole route.

Route: Neckartal-Radweg (191 mi). It is fixed – “regenerate” swaps stops, not the way. Days: 7 of about 27 mi each, overnight in the nearest town on the route.
